START A PROJECT

Let’s print.

Screen printing involves pressing ink through a silk screen to transfer your desired design onto a blank product. A stencil of your logo or design is created, transferred to the silk screen, and applied to a flat surface in the desired color ink.

Good screen printing really comes down to the details, the most important being the separation process. If the art isn't separated well, it's not going to print well. Time Out Sportswear excels at color separation, producing beautiful, award-winning prints.

We have 36 standard ink colors to choose from - offered at no additional charge. If you need to match a specific color, we offer Pantone color matching for an extra charge.

If you want premium quality screen printing services at an affordable price, then you want your job done by the experienced pros at Time Out Sportswear!

Screen Printing:
The Process

Quality screen printing is the result of many different people and processes working together to create an exceptional final product, but it all starts with your vision.

There are a number of steps that happen between your order request and the completion of the final finished product(s).

  • 1. SELECT YOUR GARMENT(S)

We work with top blank apparel brands to ensure you have a wide selection of choices within your budget.

Browse our catalogs or reach out to us and one of our in-house printing professionals will be happy to make suggestions that best fit your needs & budget.

  • 2. SUBMIT YOUR ART

With the perfect blank garments selected, it’s time to add your design. Every file you send receives an expert art review to ensure the best quality prints.

Our design team is standing by if you need help creating new designs for your print project for an additional fee.

Print pricing is based on how many colors are in your design & how many locations you will be printing so keep this in mind when designing.

  • 3. WE REVIEW YOUR SUBMISSION

When reviewing your art, we look for fine detail, gradients and small lettering that may not translate well. We’ll be sure to make a recommendation or give you some options if your artwork will not screen print well on a particular garment.

  • 4. APPROVE THE MOCK UP

Our in-house designers will provide mock-ups for your approval so there is no confusion about how the final product will look.

  • 5. CHOOSE YOUR INK(S)

Before we hit the presses, there are a few options available to take your project to the next level.

Most projects receive plastisol ink by default, which is the industry standard. Plastisol ink sits on top of the shirt and provides the boldest color and best color correctness. For a more vintage look or soft hand-feel you might consider upgrading to waterbased or discharge inks. There are also specialty finishes such as puff ink, foil, or glow in the dark. We are happy to walk you through your options and make suggestions to assure your final product will look its best.

  • 6. WE PRINT IT!

This is where the magic happens. Films are produced, screens are burned, inks are mixed, garments are counted, and the presses are registered. Every piece is printed individually and inspected for flaws before being packed and handed off to be shipped or picked up.
