General Questions

  • WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE TIME OUT SPORTSWEAR?

    Our level of quality and service is second to none. We are best known for our outstanding design and print capabilities - providing our customers with a quality product that gets them noticed. 

  • WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

    We accept checks, Visa, American Express, and Mastercard. Please note that credit card payments incur a 3% service fee.

  • WHAT ARE YOUR TURNAROUND TIMES?

    Screen printing is 10-14 business days.

    Embroidery and Promotional Items average around 10-12 business days.


    Please let us know if you are working on a deadline, as we will try our best to accommodate you. 


    It is important to note that production time begins AFTER receipt of goods ordered AND artwork approval.

  • DO YOU HAVE MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITIES?

    Our minimum order for custom screen printing is realistically 12 pieces. We can print less pieces than that, BUT our minimum pricing is for 12 pieces. There are no minimums for embroidery.  Minimum orders for promotional items varies greatly.

  • HOW IS PRICING DETERMINED?

    Pricing is primarily determined by the following: 

    • The product you select
    • Total number of ink colors  (screen printing)
    • Total number of stitches (embroidery)
    • Quantity ordered
    • Other factors such as design services or special requests 
  • CAN I MIX GARMENTS WITH THE SAME PRINT?

    Usually, but there are some limitations. Sometimes a design may not appear the same across different garment colors. We are happy to walk you through your options.

  • DO YOU CHARGE SETUP FEES?

    $24 per color for standard screen printing.

  • DO YOU CHARGE INK CHANGE FEES?

    There is a $15.60 fee per color change on same screen.

Artwork

  • CAN I SUPPLY MY OWN ARTWORK?

    Of course! Use our File Upload form listed under under the SUPPORT tab.

  • WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMITTING MY OWN ARTWORK?

    If you supply your own art, we prefer the files to be in a vectorized format such as an .eps, .ai, or .pdf. Please remember to outline any fonts. 


    If the art is not vectorized, the file must be saved at 300dpi as a .tiff, .psd, or .jpg. Please save the art at the size you want it printed. Standard textile printing is typically  limited to no bigger than  15″ wide by 15″ tall. 


    Our studio primarily prints spot color type art. That means we do not print process jobs such as a full color photograph. We can print single color tones using halftone screens. 


    And remember, we can design your art too! Design fees are $75/hr billed in 1/4 hour increments.

  • I DON’T HAVE ART, CAN YOU HELP ME DESIGN IT?

    Absolutely! We offer design and redrawing services at a rate of $75/hr, billed in 1/4 hour increments. We will work with you to bring your vision to life and we will design with screen printing and/or embroidery in mind for the best possible result.


    Please note: We maintain full owneship and usage rights over any designs we create. If you wish to purchase usage rights beyond the granted use on screen printing or embroidery that we provide, then please contact us to discuss options & pricing.

Colors

  • DO YOU PRINT WITH SPECIALTY INKS?

    We sure do! Beyond our palette of 60 standard inks we offer neons & metallics at no extra charge.  We also offer shimmer, glitter, reflective, and "puff" inks for a small fee.

  • WHAT COLORS OF THREAD CAN I CHOOSE FROM FOR EMBROIDERY?

    Describe the item or answer the question so that site visitors who are interested get more information. You can emphasize this text with bullets, italics or bold, and add links.
  • CAN YOU MATCH MY BUSINESS'S COLOR PALETTE?

    Yes! We can typically find a stock ink color to match your business's color(s).  If you want a custom color ink match we charge a one time $18 fee.

  • I HAVE A 1 COLOR LOGO. WHY WAS I TOLD IT NEEDED TO PRINT AS 2 COLORS?

    When printing on certain color fabrics, light or bright ink colors require a white underlay in order for the inks to not be affected by the shirt color underneath. In many cases, even white ink needs a white underlay. For example, a white logo printed on a red tee will appear pinkish without the additional white underneath. 

  • CAN I MIX AND MATCH SHIRT AND INK COLORS?

    You can, however, we will advise you of any issue that may occur when mixing colors. Not all ink and fabric colors work together. 

Miscellaneous

  • CAN I REQUEST SAMPLES OF BLANK GARMENTS?

    We suggest making an appointment to view our samples in our showroom. Our experienced sales reps can help narrow down your search by showing you all your options at once. If you prefer, you may order samples to be delivered directly to you but we must charge you accordingly.

  • CAN I MIX GARMENTS WITH THE SAME PRINT?

    Usually, but there are some limitations. Sometimes a design may not appear the same across different garment colors. We are happy to walk you through your options.

  • WHY ARE MULTIPLE PRINT LOCATIONS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN ONE LOCATION?

    Each location requires a completely new screen setup and production run. Think of each location as being its own individual job.

  • WHAT IS THE BEST FABRIC CONTENT TO PRINT ON?

    100% ringspun cotton typically yields the best results. Any print on a fabric containing blends (like polyester) can have dye migration which is caused by dyes in polyester fibers transferring to and changing the color of plastisol inks.You can avoid dye migration by printing on 100% cotton fabrics.

  • CAN I PRINT OVER SEAMS, ZIPPERS, OR POCKETS?

    We strongly suggest you don’t. This is not really a sound method of printing. Printing in this way will cause ink to pool into chunks around the hems of seams, zippers, or pockets. It really doesn’t look good, and creates too thick of an ink deposit to stay fixed to the shirt. 

  • CAN I MIX SHIRT SIZES & DO I NEED TO ORDER IN DOZENS?

    You can order as many different shirt sizes as you want and you do not have to order in dozens, unless otherwise stated. 

  • I WOULD LIKE MY PROJECT SHIPPED. WHAT IS YOUR SHIPPING METHOD?

    We ship via UPS Ground with tracking # and insure all projects for their total production cost. 

  • CAN I PLACE A WHOLESALE ORDER?
